On the first of September, 28 new IHK trainees and dual students started their vocational training at Würth IT.
In addition to the apprenticeships for IT specialists in application development and systems integration, there are also dual students from six courses of study, including the new course "Artificial Intelligence and Data Science". Also new is the Business Information Systems course, which is offered on a dual basis at TH Wildau for our Berlin site.
As part of their Welcome Week at the TOP100 company, the young talents got to know their company and the sites in Gaisbach (Künzelsau), Bad Mergentheim and Waldzimmern better and have already had the opportunity to take part in some training sessions.
Interest in IT is increasingly growing among the younger generation, which is now entering the job market. "With 28 new trainees and dual students, we were able to recruit over 15 percent more young talent than last year," says Sabrina Christof, HR Officer for Young Talents at Würth IT. This means that Würth IT currently has 78 young talents, 50 of whom are dual students and 28 IHK trainees.
The program for the new employees
After the kick-off event with Adolf Würth GmbH und Co. & KG and the subsidiaries of the Training Association, the Welcome Week started on September 4. Christian Berndt, Managing Director of Würth IT, took over the welcoming. In addition to the numerous workshops, a guided tour of the Curio, the in-house innovation center of Adolf Würth GmbH und Co & KG, the highlights of the Welcome Week also included a joint breakfast with all trainees and students.
In addition, the handover of the company's own laptops was an important part of Welcome Week. "We are happy to be able to provide our young employees directly with the best technology for their career start. That's what makes us stand out as an IT company, too," says Martina Schmitt, HR Officer for Young Talents at Würth IT.
