As part of a 14-day exchange program with Action Reconciliation Service for Peace, ten Young Talents from the Würth Group travelled to London to work on various charitable projects. The program took place from 3 March to 16 March 2024.

Robin Schuch, an Applied Computer Science student at Würth IT, was part of this inspiring initiative. He supported the social organization Pursuing Independent Paths (PIP), which enables people with learning difficulties and disabilities to lead independent and fulfilling lives. He particularly appreciated the warmth of the people, the valuable experiences and wonderful moments together as part of the program. Whether playing sports, cooking or making music - all the participants were enthusiastic.

The activities covered various areas. In addition to practical work at the project sites, the participants visited the Vienna Holocaust Library and the Holocaust exhibition at the Imperial War Museum in London. They used the evenings and weekends to explore the sights of London and continue their cultural exchange.

"We are proud that our Young Talents are actively committed to remembrance, understanding and peace," says Dr. Thomas Burkhart, Managing Director of Würth IT. "This campaign is an example of our corporate culture, which promotes social commitment and personal development," says Christian Berndt, also Managing Director of Würth IT.

Würth IT is continuously committed to social responsibility and provides its employees with a wide range of experiences and encounters. Cooperation with Action Reconciliation Service for Peace is an important part of these efforts

About Action Reconciliation Service for Peace

Action Reconciliation Service for Peace organizes voluntary services and encounter programs in Europe, Israel and the USA. Since 1958, dealing with the crimes of National Socialism and their consequences has been a motive and obligation for the organization to take concrete action in the present. The volunteers support survivors of Nazi persecution, people with disabilities and the socially disadvantaged in their host countries. They are involved in historical and political education and in peace and human rights initiatives against anti-Semitism, racism and right-wing extremism.
