Überlingen - Congratulations at the German SME Summit: Ranga Yogeshwar congratulates Würth IT GmbH from Bad Mergentheim on being awarded the TOP 100 seal. The award ceremony at the Summit took place on Friday, June 23, in Augsburg for all medium-sized companies that received the TOP 100 seal at the beginning of the year. The science journalist is mentoring the innovation competition, which is being held for the 30th time. In the scientific selection process, Würth IT made a particular impression in size category C (more than 200 employees) in the category "Innovative processes and organization".

The TOP 100 company portrait published on the occasion of the award states (excerpt):

Craft and digitization? That still doesn't go together in many people's minds. Würth IT wants to change that: As the global IT service provider for the Würth Group, it has taken the world market leader in assembly and fastening technology to a whole new digital level. With topics such as e-business, new work and IT security, it is driving forward the digital transformation of the craft in a far-sighted and consistent manner. Time and again, the IT midmarket player passionately slips into the role of innovation driver. "What we love most of all is developing new types of business models," says Managing Director Christian Berndt. The company's greatest success to date has been systematically equipping the subsidiaries of the Würth Group with digital marketplaces: "E-business is a decisive success factor for the future and is becoming more important for sales every year," explains Berndt.

The IT specialist has also created standards for another future-oriented topic: cyber security. And the medium-sized company based in Bad Mergentheim also stands out with its structured innovation process: "With twelve competence centers, we deal with different IT topics with very clearly defined goals and tasks," explains CEO Dr. Thomas Burkhart.
