Würth IT has impressively demonstrated its expertise in the field of artificial intelligence: In a recent television report by the german news station ARD in the show Tagesschau on the groundbreaking ceremony for the Innovation Park for Artificial Intelligence (IPAI) in Heilbronn, PICO, the Würth Group's AI-supported chat and voice assistant, was prominently featured.

During German Chancellor Friedrich Merz's visit to the IPAI groundbreaking ceremony, the Würth Group provided exclusive insights into its AI & Big Data department. The focus was particularly on PICO, an in-house development that is already being used successfully in the sales force.

Efficient support in the sales force

PICO supports sales reps in handling administrative tasks, such as sending invoices and delivery notes. By automating these processes, the system creates valuable freedom for what is essential: personal customer contact. Ronny Kess, sales rep at Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG, explained in the article how PICO is used in everyday work and contributes to increasing efficiency.

"PICO is a prime example of how artificial intelligence is not only conceived but also lived at Würth – with real added value for our colleagues in the sales force," says Matthias Engelhardt, PICO expert at Würth IT.

Another AI application at the Würth Group

Würth Lens, the smart image recognition feature in the Würth app, was also presented in a report by SWR aktuell as part of the IPAI opening. Würth Lens recognizes products by image and displays the matching result in seconds.

The television reports show how the Würth Group is not only researching AI technologies, but is already using them productively today: a strong signal for the company's innovative strength and the practical implementation of digital solutions.
