Würth IT has won the TOP 100 innovation competition for the fourth time and now bears the TOP 100 seal 2026, making the Würth Group's global IT service provider once again one of the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany. At the award ceremony, the former Federal President of Germany and former Minister President of Lower Saxony, Christian Wulff, will personally congratulate Würth IT on this success.

The award is based on a scientific selection process led by innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke. On behalf of compamedia, the organizer of the competition, his team analyzed the innovative strength of the participating companies on the basis of more than 100 test criteria.

The five categories assessed are innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovative processes and organization, external orientation/open innovation and innovation success.

"The renewed award of the TOP 100 seal confirms our claim to drive innovation systematically and sustainably," says Dr. Thomas Burkhart, Executive Vice President IT of the Würth Group. "Especially in an increasingly digital and globally networked world, it is crucial to combine technological excellence with clear customer benefits. The award is both recognition and an incentive for us to continue along this path."

Würth IT impressed in the selection process with its structured innovation management and its role as a driver of innovation within the Würth Group. "The fourth TOP 100 success shows that innovation at Würth IT is not an individual project, but is firmly anchored in our organization and culture," says Marion Betz, Managing Director of Würth IT.

To ensure that all applicants have the same opportunities, the TOP 100 seal is awarded in three size categories: up to 50, 51 to 200 and more than 200 employees. In the current, 33rd round of TOP 100, 356 medium-sized companies applied, of which 282 were successful.

The top innovators of 2026 will come together at the German SME Summit in Heidelberg on June 26, 2026. There, Christian Wulff will personally congratulate them on their success at TOP 100.
