As part of the annual "Managers lend a hand" initiative, the management team at Würth IT swapped their laptops for the tools of Würth customers. From April 21 to May 2, 2025, top managers from various areas of Würth IT worked at various customers of the company.

From theory to practical implementation

"As Würth IT, it is our job to support the Würth Group's business with technological solutions. A deep understanding of the needs of our business partners and customers is essential here. Nowhere else can we develop this as much as at the local company," says Dr. Thomas Burkhart, Executive Vice President for IT in the Würth Group.

Dr. Thomas Burkhart spent a day at the Western Sales Center of Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG in Künzelsau-Gaisbach and supported the work on site. Around 48,000 additional order items are picked here every day.

Würth IT made a significant technical contribution by implementing a new package control system in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), called WBCE (Würth Business Case Engine), which enables efficient package throughput control according to freely definable criteria. In addition, the digitalization and automation of the warehouse is based on the modern SAP EWM system introduced by Würth IT.

Experience technologies up close and understand customer requirements
